  • The Ironmongers' Company

St Martin's are proud to have the support of the Ironmongers’ Company. The Ironmongers' Company have given an annual grant to our school. These funds are the result of bequests made by generous members of the Company over the centuries.

The Ironmongers’ Company has roots in the iron trade dating back over 700 years. Philanthropy has always been at the heart of the Company’s identity: linking its rich history to an ongoing purpose and vision for a sustainable future. The Company now funds education, the study of STEM subjects, new and historic works in iron and steel, and the care of the elderly. The annual grant from the Ironmongers’ Company has allowed us to improve the school in a variety of ways, including:

    • Creating a new sensory garden for the children to use to support their social and emotional health, wellbeing and development of spirituality.
    • Funding electronic screens in the corridors so the children can receive important updates, see their work celebrated and see videos and pictures of recent events.
    • Renovating our forest school so that each child in the school can access forest school activities, improving their mental and physical health, teamwork skills and much more.
